Chief Financial Officer At Farm Credit In Saint Paul Minnesota
Job Description
Farm Credit Foundations is seeking a collaborative and hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our senior leadership team starting in the fourth quarter of 2025.
This is a working manager role overseeing a small accounting team. The ideal candidate brings both strategic insight and practical accounting expertise to help Farm Credit Foundations maintain strong financial health while supporting our organizational mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a strategic financial advisor to the CEO and leadership team
- Liaison to Board of Directors and Audit Committee for all financial matters
- Lead day-to-day accounting functions, including general ledger, AP/AR, and monthly an annual close
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Lead the annual budgeting and re-forecasting process
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements, internal controls and FCA regulations
- Oversee annual audits and coordinate with external auditors
- Foster a team-oriented environment and mentor accounting staff

Candidate Profile
- A strong, collaborative team member with a service mindset
- Proven experience in a CFO, Controller, or senior finance leadership role
- Deep understanding of accounting principles and GAAP
- Comfortable rolling up your sleeves in a working manager capacity
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or related field
- 3 years supervisory experience
- CPA or equivalent preferred
